About Termalin

An SSH client that treats AI agents as first-class users — and keeps your keys out of their hands.

Termalin is a cross-platform SSH client for Windows, macOS, Linux and iOS, with a tabbed terminal, SFTP/FTP/S3 file browsers, a database client, session recording and end-to-end encrypted cloud sync. It also ships an MCP server and the keyless Termalin Connector, so AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor and Codex can run commands and manage files on your servers without ever holding a private key — Termalin signs on the agent's behalf, under rules you set, with every action recorded.

How we ship

We release on a roughly monthly cadence. Every version is written up in the changelog, and the bigger ones get a release note. Here is how it has gone so far:

  • July 2026 First public beta (0.1.0): a tabbed SSH terminal with a live status bar, the built-in MCP server, session recording and replay, and end-to-end encrypted sync.
  • August 2026 The iPhone and iPad app arrives on the App Store, and the reverse-tunnel agent becomes the keyless Termalin Connector — reach a server behind a firewall with no inbound port to open.
  • September 2026 A database client for 13 engines — PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and more — reached through an SSH host or a Connector (0.1.42).
  • October 2026 Encrypted server backups, monitoring and alerts through the Connector, and remote desktops in a tab over RDP and VNC with Connectors on Windows and macOS (0.1.48).
  • October 2026 Connectors that keep themselves up to date, and backups that can include your PostgreSQL and MySQL databases alongside your files (0.1.50).

Signed builds go out through the App Store, the Microsoft Store, winget and Homebrew, and the desktop app verifies each update against an offline key before installing it. You can check on us without asking: a public status page, a security page with a disclosure policy, and the full changelog.

Your data stays yours

Your hosts, keys and snippets are encrypted on your device before they sync, so the server stores only ciphertext it cannot read. You can export your recordings and delete your account outright — deletion removes everything on our servers, with no soft-delete and no undo. The exact wording is in the privacy policy and on delete your account.
