01  /  one window

Every server in one window — not a taskbar of them.

PuTTY gives you one window per connection; ten servers means ten windows to alt-tab through. Termalin gives you browser-style tabs with a hosts sidebar, snippets, and session restore with scrollback — real xterm-256color sessions on a Rust core that stays light on RAM with a wall of hosts open for weeks.

  • A live status bar for the box you're on — CPU, memory, disk, network, load, uptime, processes, logged-in users and open ports, with details on hover.
  • Watch grid — every open session mirrored side by side as a live tile, so you drive a change across a fleet and see each box respond.
  • Type once, run everywhere — broadcast a command to every open session and watch them all answer in the grid.

02  /  switching from putty

Your PuTTY sessions come over in one click.

On Windows, Termalin reads PuTTY's saved sessions in one click — or drop in a .reg export if you prefer. It imports from an ~/.ssh/config or a CSV too, and exports back to an SSH config or CSV at any time, so there's no lock-in, either direction. Install is a single .exe for Windows 10 or later, and the app keeps itself updated with signed auto-updates.

03  /  files

SFTP with a real editor — no download-edit-upload loop.

Browse remote files next to the terminal and open them right there — a real editor with syntax highlighting, search & replace and in-place save, no round-trip through a local copy or a second app.

  • More than code — open images, PDFs, Markdown, CSV and archives in place.
  • Dual-pane file manager — drag between panes, local↔host or host↔host: one drag moves a file between two servers, no manual download-then-re-upload.
  • FTP, Telnet, Serial/COM and S3 are first-class hosts too — the same tabs, files and history for each.

04  /  keys, hello & agents

One unlock — then Windows Hello gets you back in — for you and your agents.

Everything is encrypted behind one master password — unlock once, and Windows Hello gets you back into a locked session, with auto-lock on idle and lock-on-minimize when you step away. Termalin's own key agent signs on your behalf: unlock once, passphrases cached on your terms, no key ever touching disk in plaintext and no separate agent service to keep running. The same custody extends to AI: the built-in MCP server lets your agent open its own SSH sessions or step into yours, while a key custodian signs for it — you watch every move in the grid, and each agent action is marked in the recording.

Questions

Is Termalin free?

Yes — the Free tier is the whole desktop app with no host limits, local-only. Pro adds the encrypted cloud (sync, cloud recordings) at $8/mo billed yearly or $10 monthly. Every new account starts with a 14-day Pro trial — no card required. See pricing →

Does Termalin run on Windows 10?

Yes — Termalin supports Windows 10 or later and installs from a single .exe. It's an unsigned beta build for now, so SmartScreen may say “unknown publisher” — click More info → Run anyway. Code signing is on the way, and the app updates itself. Download →

Can I import my PuTTY saved sessions?

Yes — on Windows, Termalin reads PuTTY's saved sessions in one click, or you can drop in a .reg export. It also imports from an ~/.ssh/config or a CSV, and exports back to an SSH config or CSV at any time — no lock-in, either direction.

Does Termalin support Windows Hello?

Yes — everything is encrypted behind one master password, and Windows Hello re-unlocks a locked session (after a cold start you enter the master password once). The app can auto-lock on idle, lock on minimize, and stay unlocked for as long as you choose. More on security →

What's the MCP server for?

Termalin ships an MCP server, so an AI agent can open its own SSH sessions or step into yours — without ever holding your keys. You watch every move in the watch grid, and each agent action is marked in the recording. See how it works →
