Data · Redis

A Redis GUI that reaches the cache behind your firewall.

Browse a Redis keyspace the way it's actually shaped — every key with its type, its TTL and a value preview — run raw commands in an editor, and edit values in place. Reach a production instance on localhost through an SSH tunnel that opens itself, or a private one through a keyless Connector. It's part of a full SSH client, not a separate app.

01  /  browse the keyspace

Keys by type and TTL, without pulling them down.

Redis isn't tables, so Termalin doesn't pretend it is. Pick a numbered database, browse its keys, and each row shows the key, its type, its TTL and a light preview — the string itself when it's short, or a count like "hash · 5 fields" or "list · 12 items" for containers, so listing a keyspace never drags a huge value across the wire.

  • ▸Every type — string, hash, list, set, sorted set and stream, each labelled.
  • ▸TTL at a glance — see which keys expire and when; a blank means no expiry.
  • ▸Raw commands — KEYS, SCAN, GET, HGETALL and the rest, straight into a grid.

› KEYS session:* key  ·  type  ·  ttl  ·  value session:a1f9  string · 860 · {"uid":42,…} session:b2c4  hash · — · hash · 5 fields   › TTL session:a1f9 ✓ 860  ·  1 ms

02  /  edit without the CLI

Change a value, set a TTL, drop a key.

You don't have to remember the command for every small edit. From the browse grid you can rewrite a string value in place, set or clear a key's TTL, delete a key, and add a new string key — each one point-and-click, and each one showing the exact Redis command (a SET, an EXPIRE, a PERSIST, a DEL) before it runs, so nothing executes unseen. When you want more, the editor takes any command you type.

03  /  reach it safely

Through an SSH host or a Connector — never exposed.

A production Redis shouldn't face the internet, and with Termalin it doesn't have to. On the desktop, connecting to a Redis bound to localhost opens an SSH local forward through your host automatically — the same trick our guide to database tunnels walks through by hand. For a network with no inbound port at all, a one-line Connector reaches in over an outbound link. TLS (rediss://) is used when the server asks for it.

04  /  and twelve more engines

Not just Redis — one client for your whole stack.

Redis is one of thirteen engines in the same client: alongside it are Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, SQL Server, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Neo4j, InfluxDB, RabbitMQ and Cloudflare D1. Your Redis connections live in the same encrypted vault as your SSH hosts and keys, and an AI agent can read them read-only by default. See the full database client →

Questions

Can this Redis GUI connect over an SSH tunnel?

Yes — on the desktop, point the connection at a Redis that only listens on localhost and Termalin opens an SSH local forward through your host for you, no ssh -L by hand. For a private network with no inbound SSH port, reach it through a keyless Connector. TLS connections (rediss://) are supported when the server requires it.

What can I see and do in a Redis database?

Browse a numbered database and its keys, each shown with its type (string, hash, list, set, zset, stream), its TTL and a short value preview — a hash reads as "5 fields", a list as "12 items" — so a large key isn't pulled down just to list it. Run any raw command (KEYS, GET, HGETALL, SCAN…) in the editor and the reply lands in a grid.

Can I edit values and expiry?

Yes — from the browse grid you can edit a string value in place (a SET), set or clear a key's TTL (EXPIRE / PERSIST), delete a key, and add a new string key — all point-and-click, with the command shown before it runs. Anything beyond that you type as a normal Redis command.

Is it a good Redis desktop client for Mac?

It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux as part of a full SSH client, so the shell on the box and the Redis on it are one window. On a Pro plan the same Redis browser runs in the browser, so you can poke a cache from a laptop or phone with nothing installed.

Can an AI agent read Redis safely?

Yes — the built-in MCP server exposes read tools that are read-only by default and per-connection, so an agent can answer "how many keys match this pattern?" without write access or the password. See the database client and agent access.
