02  /  sealed sync

Sessions that follow you — end-to-end encrypted.

SecureCRT has no cloud sync, so your sessions stay on the machines you set them up on. Termalin syncs hosts, keys and per-host command history across your devices, encrypted on your device before upload: the server stores ciphertext it can't read, and the master password can't be reset by design. Built for your agents, not just for you.

Termalin ships a real MCP server in two forms. A hosted endpoint lets Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor sign in and reach the hosts you choose keylessly — through an outbound Connector, with per-connection command rules and an audit log. The in-app MCP lets an agent open its own sessions or step into yours, while a key custodian signs on its behalf, so it never holds a key — you watch every move in the grid, and each agent action is marked in the recording. A handful of terminals now speak MCP — Conduit and XPipe both bundle a local one. Termalin's hosted endpoint at termal.in/mcp is listed in the ChatGPT and Claude connector directories and the official MCP Registry, and reaches your servers keylessly under per-connection command rules — full access, an allowlist, or read-only.

Moving over, and what SecureCRT still does better.

Termalin imports hosts from an ~/.ssh/config, a CSV, PuTTY or MobaXterm — get your hosts into any of those formats and they come across in a click. Export back to an SSH config or CSV any time: no lock-in, either direction. The honest trade-off: SecureCRT has a track record measured in decades and a scripting engine — Python, VBScript, PerlScript and JScript — that teams have built serious automation on, and recent releases keep adding polish (version 9.7 brought saved session layouts, batch actions and Teleport certificate support). Termalin's snippets and MCP automation cover a lot, but they aren't a drop-in replacement for a library of SecureCRT scripts. If that's your workflow, SecureCRT keeps earning its seat.
